The GiiS Desktop App provides users with a native application experience for accessing GiiS on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The desktop app connects to a GiiS server backend for your account, and can optionally also connect directly to a local model on your own machine (e.g. Ollama, LM Studio, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint).

Download the latest GiiS Desktop App directly from giis.ai/#downloads:

• Windows: .exe installer
• Linux: .deb, .AppImage, or .rpm

Installation Options

Self-hosted users: On first launch, users will need to configure the connection to your GiiS instance:

• Server URL: Your GiiS instance URL (e.g., https://giis.yourcompany.com)
• Authentication: Sign in with your configured authentication method

The desktop app will remember the server URL after initial configuration. Users only need to authenticate on subsequent launches if their session expires.
