Connectors
Connectors let GiiS use your own apps and data, such as team chat, documents, code, tickets and CRM records, so answers are grounded in your work.
You always use your own keys
Every connection in GiiS uses your own credentials: your own API key, bot token or developer app.
- GiiS never connects with shared keys and never pays third-party API costs on your behalf. Any usage charges from the platform go to your own account with that platform.
- Big organisations get their own branding on sign-in screens, their own audit logs and the ability to revoke access at any time from the platform's side.
- Your plan's usage limits are applied by GiiS.
How to connect
- In GiiS, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add connector.
- Pick the app you want to connect. The form shows exactly which details it needs (for example a bot token, an API key, or a client ID and secret from a developer app you create on that platform).
- Paste your details and save. Secrets are hidden after you save them.
- GiiS starts syncing. If the details are wrong, the connector shows an error explaining what to fix.
The full list of available connectors is in GiiS under Settings → Connectors → Add connector.
Setup guides
Step-by-step guides for creating the keys or developer app each platform needs are on the way, starting with the most used connectors. Until a guide is published, the setup form in GiiS lists every value it needs, and you can ask us at hi@giis.ai.
Other ways to add knowledge
- File upload: add documents directly in GiiS.
- API: push documents in from your own systems. See the API reference.
